Based in Broome, KGB Marine was founded in 2007 in response to a demand for marine services in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. With extensive experience in the marine industry, Grant and Catherine (Katy) Streeter started KGB Marine to provide safe, reliable and local support services to marine and remote coastal businesses. Following several requests from major clients, KGB Marine now specialises in
the delivery and assessment of marine related training. Grant has been involved in training for over 27 years and it was an obvious decision to bring his significant experience and expertise to the business. KGB Marine successfully operates under the umbrella of several Registered Training Organisations to deliver and assess a range of high quality, accredited maritime courses.

Grant Streeter
Managing Director, Trainer & Vessel Master
Central to the success of KGB Marine, Grant is a highly respected local trainer who brings many years’ practical knowledge and expertise to the business.
Grant started crayfishing as a teenager, diving on pearling boats in his twenties and obtained employment in the oil and gas industry as a ship’s officer gaining qualifications over the 45 years to Master larger vessels.
First lecturing in maritime studies at TAFE in 1998, Grant developed and broadened the maritime courses, winning State and Federal awards for Indigenous training, and making valuable contacts in the process. He also has experience in the tourism industry, spending many years as a vessel master / engineer and guiding boats through the Kimberley.
A dual certified master engineer and marine guide with a wealth of experience, Grant is well placed to provide excellent training and assessment, as well as a range of marine consultancy and support services. He also holds a Diploma of Business Management.
Catherine (Katy) Streeter
Director & Logistics
Born in Broome, Katy is a local Yawuru / Jabir Jabir woman with a strong record of administrative excellence.
A Director of KGB Marine, Katy provides the logistical support for the business, managing the finances, bookings and customer liaison. She has more than 30 years’ administrative experience, and has been indirectly involved in the maritime industry during this time.
Katy’s high level skills and efficient way of operating contribute to the smooth running and overall success of the business.
Benjamin Streeter
Ground Support
Ben provides ground support for KGB Marine, assisting with projects when required.
He holds several marine qualifications and has been a member of the KGB Marine team from the beginning.
A carpenter by trade now a qualified Master /Engineer, Ben has spent his life around boats and on and around the ocean. He assists with business support and provides valuable logistic to the business when necessary.
